4. What kind of information can I ask for?

5. How do I file an RTI application online?

6. What is the fee to file an RTI?

10. What happens after I submit my RTI?

  • You will get a unique Application ID.
  • Your request will be forwarded to the concerned department.
  • You will receive a reply within 30 days (usually).
  • If there’s a delay or issue, you can file a First Appeal.

11. Can I file RTI for central government offices through this portal?

No. Jaankari portal is for Bihar state government departments only. For central government RTI, visit https://rtionline.gov.in.

12. Is this portal available in Hindi?
